Reach Out Early

If you know you are having a boy — or you are not finding out — you should contact Rabbi Hoffman either through the contact form or by calling or texting 615-481-2831 so that we can make an initial connection. It is best to have a conversation early because the days immediately following a birth are a stressful time! The more you can plan ahead and the less you have to think about with a newborn, the better.

In this initial conversation, we'll talk about what you want the bris to look like: Do you want it at home, synagogue, or somewhere else? Who do you want involved? What's the vibe?

Didn't Talk Before the Birth?

That's fine too. We'll have to talk a bit longer to get everything squared away when your baby is born, but he will have the same wonderful welcome into the Jewish world either way.

Once Your Baby Arrives

Whether we talked before or not, call or text Rabbi Hoffman once your baby is born — after you've called your parents and siblings. It will be helpful if you have the precise time of birth ready to share at that time.
